What standards need to be met when making welding masks
Welding mask refers to a tool that protects the safety of operators during welding and cutting operations. It is a high-tech product integrating optics, electronics, anthropology, material science and other disciplines. It consists of an observation window, a filter, a protective sheet, and a mask. There are four types of handheld masks, headband masks, safety helmet masks and safety helmet front-hanging glasses masks. And it needs to meet the following criteria during production:
1. The size of the mask should comply with relevant regulations.
2. Weight and thickness: headband mask (without filter and protective film) below 560g, handheld below 500g; mask material thickness is 1.5mm (0.2mm).
3. Structural requirements:
(1) The observation window, filter, protective sheet and size must be consistent, and there must be a good fixing device, and no radiation light can leak from the gap.
(2) The rivets and other parts should be firm, without loosening or falling off. The metal parts do not come into contact with the human face.
(3) The front hanging glasses should be easy to tilt up and down.
4. Mask material: It must be made of non-conductive materials. Fire resistance has been tested and the burning speed should be less than 760mm/min. The metal parts should be soaked in a 10% salt solution for 15 minutes and then taken out. Dry the surface liquid for 24 hours at room temperature without wiping off the surface liquid, and then wash it with warm water. Observe that there should be no change on the surface to be qualified.
5. The optical performance and strength performance requirements of the filter and protective sheet are the same as welding goggles.
